 Error 0x80070090  generally cause on windows operating system  when you are trying to delete some files or folder.You won't able to delete  a particular file or folder,there is some bad sector on your drive, a virus in your computer which corrupted that file or folder and incompatible 3rd party software on your pc. 

 



 Methods to solve system error 0x80070091

Method 1 :Reboot your PC.

  •         Press Shift key repeatedly at boot and select Repair your computer.
  •         Then select Troubleshoot and click Advanced options.
  •          Now select System Restore. If the process has been successfully initiated, the error                              0x80070091      should be gone.



Method 2: Remove Junk files 
  •  Accumulated junk files on your computer can be a cause of many errors including error       0x80070091. Removing such files on a regular basis can be helpful in preventing the same.
  • Press Win + X key to open up menu
  • Select “Command Prompt (Admin)” option.
  • Click “Yes” to run command prompt as an administrator.
  • Type “cleanmgr” before hitting Enter.
  • The tool will begin to run automatically and will calculate how much used space you can claim on the hard disk. 
  • Check all the dialogue boxes occupied by unnecessary files including the temporary files box. Click “OK” to let the tool remove all junk files.
  • Attempt again to delete a file or folder you intended to delete to see if the 0x80070091 error is resolved or not.

Method 3. List the content of the %ProgramFiles%\WindowsApps folder

  •       Click Win key + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).
  •           If a UAC opens, click Yes to confirm.
  •           Type PowerShell and press Enter.
  •       In the PowerShell window, look for the C:\WINDOWS\system32.
  •             If you found this path, type cd $env:programfiles\WindowsApps command and press Enter to change the path of the WindowsApps folder.
  •             Then type (LS -Re -Fi * -Fo -Ea:Inquire).FullName | clip command and press Enter to enlist all sub-folders and its content via PowerShell. Copy the results and store them within the clipboard.
  •               After that, type notepad in the PowerShell window and click Ctrl + V.
